Join our dedicated Children's Social Work - Looked After Children (LAC) Team in Leeds, where your passion and expertise will make a profound difference in the lives of vulnerable children and young people. We are seeking a qualified social worker who is committed to providing high-quality support and advocacy for children in care, ensuring their safety, well-being, and development.
As a key member of our LAC Team, you will be responsible for a range of essential duties, including:
Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify the needs of children and families. Developing and implementing effective care plans in collaboration with children, families, and other professionals. Monitoring and reviewing the progress of children in care, ensuring their voices are heard and their needs are met. Providing support and guidance to foster carers and adoptive families. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to promote the best interests of children and young people.The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A degree in Social Work or equivalent qualification. Registered with Social Work England. Experience working with children and families, particularly in a looked after children context. Strong communication, interpersonal, and advocacy skills.
