The Leicester Children's SW - LAC Team is seeking a Qualified Social Worker to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will work closely with Looked After Children (LAC) to ensure their safety, well-being, and development while promoting their best interests in a supportive and nurturing environment.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Assessing the needs of children and young people in care and developing tailored care plans. Conducting regular reviews and monitoring the progress of children in the LAC system. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including health and education professionals, to provide holistic support. Building trusting relationships with children, families, and foster carers to facilitate effective communication and intervention. Ensuring compliance with statutory regulations and local policies while promoting best practices in safeguarding.

To excel in this role, you will need the following qualifications and skills:

A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Experience working with children and families, particularly in a LAC or safeguarding context. Strong assessment, analytical, and report-writing skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with children and stakeholders.
