The London Borough of Sutton is seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Children's Social Work - Looked After Children (LAC) Team. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual committed to making a positive impact on the lives of children and families in our community. As a key member of our team, you will work collaboratively to ensure the safety, well-being, and development of looked-after children.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and their families to identify needs and risks. Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with children, families, and other professionals. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in compliance with local and national standards. Attending and contributing to multi-agency meetings to promote integrated support for children. Providing emotional and practical support to children and foster carers, ensuring their voices are heard.To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A relevant Social Work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, CQSW, CSS). Registered with Social Work England. Experience working with looked-after children and knowledge of relevant legislation and frameworks. Strong assessment, communication, and interpersonal skills.
