Join our dedicated Children's Social Work - Looked After Children (LAC) Team in Somerset, where your expertise can make a profound difference in the lives of children and families. We are seeking a qualified and passionate Social Worker to support our mission of providing high-quality care and safeguarding for children in the LAC system. In this role, you will work collaboratively with families, agencies, and professionals to ensure the best outcomes for vulnerable children.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Conducting comprehensive assessments and developing tailored care plans for children in care. Building strong relationships with children, families, and foster carers to promote stability and well-being. Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure a holistic approach to support and intervention. Monitoring and reviewing the progress of children in care, ensuring their voices are heard and respected. Maintaining accurate and timely records in accordance with legal and organizational standards.

To be successful in this role, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:

A recognized Social Work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work, CQSW, DipSW). Current registration with Social Work England. Experience in children's social work, particularly with looked after children. Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make sound decisions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate approach to working with children and families.
