Join our dedicated Children's Social Work - Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) Team in Oldham, where your expertise can make a significant impact on the lives of children and families in our community. We are seeking a passionate and qualified Social Worker who is committed to ensuring the safety and wellbeing of children. In this role, you will work collaboratively with various agencies to assess and respond to safeguarding concerns, ensuring that children receive the support they need.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Conducting thorough assessments of children and families in need of support. Collaborating with partner agencies to gather information and develop effective intervention plans. Managing a caseload of complex cases, ensuring timely and appropriate responses to safeguarding issues. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in compliance with statutory requirements. Providing support and guidance to families, promoting positive outcomes for children.

The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Experience in children's social work, particularly within a safeguarding context. Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate approach to working with families.
