We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Social Worker to join our dynamic Children's Social Work team in Newcastle. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant difference in the lives of children and families within our community. As a Children's Social Worker, you will be responsible for assessing the needs of children and their families, ensuring their safety and well-being, and providing support through various interventions and services.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks. Developing and implementing care plans that promote the welfare and development of children. Working collaboratively with other professionals, agencies, and families to provide integrated support. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in accordance with legal and organizational standards. Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to child protection conferences. Providing guidance and support to foster carers and adoptive families.

The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work). Current registration with Social Work England. Demonstrated experience in children's social work, particularly in safeguarding and child protection. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a caseload effectively.
