Lewisham’s Referral & Assessment Team is seeking a committed individual to join our dynamic team. This role offers the opportunity to work in a supportive environment while addressing the needs of vulnerable children and ensuring their safety and well-being.
As a Children's Social Worker within our Referral & Assessment Team, you will be responsible for:
Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families in line with statutory requirements. Developing and implementing effective intervention plans to support families and safeguard children. Collaborating with multi-agency partners to ensure a coordinated approach to service delivery. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records, ensuring compliance with local policies and procedures. Providing advice and guidance to colleagues and stakeholders on safeguarding matters.The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized Social Work qualification (BA/MA in Social Work or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Demonstrable experience in child protection and assessment work. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children and families.
