Join our dedicated Children's Social Work Safeguarding Team in Durham, where your expertise can make a profound difference in the lives of children and families. We are seeking a passionate and qualified Social Worker to provide high-quality support and intervention to at-risk children, ensuring their safety and well-being. In this pivotal role, you will work collaboratively with families, schools, and various agencies to promote positive outcomes for children in need.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Conducting comprehensive assessments of children's needs and risks. Developing and implementing tailored intervention plans in partnership with families. Working closely with multi-agency teams to safeguard children and promote their welfare. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation. Providing support and guidance to families to enhance their parenting skills and resilience. Participating in court proceedings as required and presenting evidence effectively.

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

A recognized Social Work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work). Current registration with Social Work England. Proven experience in children's social work, particularly in safeguarding. Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make sound judgments. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, enabling effective collaboration. Commitment to ongoing professional development and reflective practice.
