The London Borough of Havering is seeking a passionate and dedicated Children’s Social Worker to join our Safeguarding Team. This vital role involves working collaboratively with children and families to ensure their safety and well-being. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assessing needs, planning interventions, and delivering high-quality social work services to vulnerable children and their families in our community.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families in need of support. Developing and implementing effective care plans to safeguard children and promote their welfare. Working closely with multi-agency partners to ensure a coordinated approach to safeguarding. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation. Participating in court proceedings and providing expert testimony when required.The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized Social Work qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Experience in children's social work, particularly in safeguarding and child protection. Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make informed decisions.
