We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Children's Social Worker to join our Safeguarding Team in Shropshire. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of vulnerable children and families in the area.
Key responsibilities and duties:
Conducting assessments and investigations to determine the needs and risks faced by children and families. Developing and implementing care plans to support children in need of protection. Working collaboratively with other professionals, such as healthcare providers and schools, to ensure holistic support for children. Attending court hearings and providing evidence when necessary. Participating in team meetings and case conferences to review progress and make decisions regarding the welfare of children.Essential qualifications and skills:
Qualified Social Worker with a relevant degree and HCPC registration. Demonstrated experience in working with children and families in a safeguarding capacity. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with children and families effectively. Strong assessment and decision-making abilities to ensure the safety of children. Ability to work under pressure and manage a complex caseload efficiently.Additional requirements or benefits:
