Worcestershire County Council is seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Children's Safeguarding Team. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families within our community. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assessing the needs of vulnerable children, developing effective intervention plans, and ensuring their safety and well-being.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting thorough assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks. Developing and implementing tailored care plans in collaboration with families and other professionals. Managing a caseload of children and young people, ensuring timely and effective interventions. Working closely with partner agencies to promote the welfare of children and facilitate multi-agency collaboration. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in line with statutory requirements. Participating in court proceedings and providing expert testimony when required.The ideal candidate will possess a relevant social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent) and be registered with Social Work England. You should have a solid understanding of child safeguarding legislation and best practices, along with strong communication and interpersonal skills. Experience in child protection and safeguarding work is essential, as is the ability to work effectively under pressure and manage complex cases.
