The London Borough of Haringey is seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Children’s Safeguarding and Children in Need (CIN) Team. As a Qualified Social Worker in our Safeguarding/CIN Team, your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks. Developing and implementing effective care plans in collaboration with families and other professionals. Providing ongoing support and intervention to families to promote positive outcomes. Working closely with multi-agency partners to ensure a coordinated approach to safeguarding. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and reports in line with statutory requirements.To be considered for this role, you must hold a relevant social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent) and be registered with Social Work England. Essential skills and qualifications include:
Significant experience working in children's social work, particularly within safeguarding and CIN. Strong knowledge of legislation, policy, and best practices related to child protection. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families. Proven ability to manage complex cases and work under pressure.
