Join our dedicated Children’s Social Work - Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children (UASC) Team in Oxfordshire, where you will play a vital role in supporting some of the most vulnerable members of our community. As a Qualified Social Worker, you will be responsible for providing high-quality support and interventions to unaccompanied minors, ensuring their safety, well-being, and integration into society. Your key responsibilities will include:
Assessing the needs of unaccompanied asylum-seeking children and developing tailored care plans. Building trusting relationships with young people, their families, and external agencies. Conducting regular reviews and updating care plans in accordance with the evolving needs of the children. Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and local safeguarding policies. Providing support in areas such as education, health, and emotional well-being.The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work). Registration with Social Work England. Demonstrable experience working with children and families, particularly in a social work context. Strong assessment and analytical skills.
