The London Borough of Haringey is seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Children's SW - Young Adults Team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of young people in our community. As a key member of our team, you will work collaboratively to support vulnerable children and young adults, ensuring their safety, well-being, and development.
Key responsibilities include:
Conducting assessments and developing care plans to meet the individual needs of children and young adults. Working closely with families, schools, and external agencies to provide holistic support and intervention. Managing a caseload effectively, ensuring timely and appropriate responses to safeguarding concerns. Promoting the voice of the child in all aspects of practice, ensuring their views are central to decision-making. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records in accordance with statutory requirements and local policies.To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized Social Work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Demonstrable experience in children's social work, particularly with young adults. Strong understanding of safeguarding legislation and child protection procedures.
