We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Children's Team Manager to join our Assessment & Intervention (A&I) Team in Slough. This pivotal role requires an individual who is committed to improving the lives of children and families in our community. As the Team Manager, you will lead a team of qualified social workers, ensuring high-quality assessments and interventions are delivered effectively and compassionately.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Providing leadership and supervision to a team of social workers, fostering a culture of continuous professional development. Overseeing the assessment and intervention processes to ensure compliance with legal and statutory requirements. Collaborating with multi-agency partners to promote the welfare and safeguarding of children. Managing complex casework and providing guidance on challenging cases. Contributing to service development and quality assurance initiatives.The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent). Significant post-qualification experience in children's social work, including management or supervisory experience. Strong understanding of child protection legislation and safeguarding practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with children, families, and professionals.
