Achieving for Children is seeking a Children’s Team Leader for our Safeguarding Team. In this pivotal role, you will lead a dynamic team committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of children in our care. You will work collaboratively with various stakeholders to promote best practices in safeguarding and deliver high-quality services to vulnerable children and their families.
As a Children’s Team Leader, your key responsibilities will include:
Providing leadership and direction to a team of social workers, ensuring effective case management and safeguarding practices. Overseeing the assessment, planning, and implementation of safeguarding interventions for children and families. Coordinating multi-agency collaboration to enhance service delivery and protect children at risk. Conducting regular supervision sessions and performance appraisals to support staff development and enhance team performance. Ensuring compliance with legislative and regulatory frameworks, and maintaining accurate records and documentation.The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Current registration with Social Work England. Significant post-qualifying experience in child safeguarding and social work. Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with a proven ability to motivate and inspire a team.
