We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Children's Team Manager (TM) to join our Children and Families (C&F) Team in Walsall. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced social worker to lead a dynamic team committed to improving the lives of children and families within our community. As a Team Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing casework, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, and fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading and managing a team of social workers and support staff, providing supervision and guidance to enhance professional development. Ensuring effective case management practices are in place, including assessments, planning, and interventions that meet the needs of children and families. Collaborating with partner agencies and stakeholders to promote integrated service delivery. Monitoring and evaluating team performance against key performance indicators and ensuring compliance with local and national standards. Contributing to the strategic development of services for children and families within Walsall.To be considered for this role, candidates must possess a relevant social work qualification (e.g., DipSW, CQSW, or equivalent) and be registered with Social Work England. Additionally, you should have:
A minimum of three years’ experience in children’s social work, including supervisory or managerial experience. Strong knowledge of child protection legislation, safeguarding practices, and relevant statutory guidance. Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
