The London Borough of Lambeth is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Children's Team (TM) within the Child Welfare Department (CWD). This is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of children and families in our diverse community. As a vital member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality social work services that promote the welfare and safeguarding of children.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting assessments and developing care plans tailored to the needs of children and families. Working collaboratively with other professionals, including health, education, and voluntary services, to ensure a holistic approach to child welfare. Managing a caseload effectively, ensuring timely interventions and support for children at risk. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records in compliance with local and national policies. Participating in team meetings, case reviews, and supervision sessions to enhance service delivery and share best practices.To be considered for this role, you must hold a relevant social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent) and be registered with Social Work England. Additionally, you should possess strong assessment and analytical skills, with a solid understanding of child development and safeguarding legislation. Experience in working with children and families in a social work context is essential, along with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
