In this pivotal role, you will lead a passionate team of social workers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services that prioritize the welfare and development of children. Key responsibilities include:
Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Children's Team, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and local policies. Providing supervision, support, and guidance to social workers, promoting professional development and reflective practice. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and external agencies to coordinate services and interventions for children and families. Leading on complex case management, ensuring effective risk assessment and safeguarding practices are upheld. Contributing to the strategic development of children’s services within the local authority.The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Significant experience in children's social work, including managerial or supervisory experience. Strong knowledge of legislation, policy, and practice in relation to child welfare and safeguarding.
