Join our dedicated Children's TM - Kinship Assessment Team in Birmingham as a Qualified Social Worker. We are seeking a passionate and skilled individual to support children and families through comprehensive assessments and interventions. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the safety and well-being of children in kinship care arrangements, working collaboratively with families, local authorities, and other stakeholders.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Conducting thorough kinship assessments to evaluate the suitability of potential caregivers. Developing and implementing support plans tailored to the needs of children and their families. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records while adhering to legal and regulatory requirements. Providing expert advice and guidance to families and professionals involved in the care process. Participating in multi-agency meetings to ensure a coordinated approach to child welfare.

The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work, CQSW, CSS). Registration with Social Work England. Proven experience in children’s social work, particularly in kinship care or family assessments. Strong analytical and assessment skills, with the ability to make informed decisions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate approach to working with vulnerable families.
