The Locality Team in Rotherham is seeking a qualified Children’s Team Manager to lead our dynamic team in providing high-quality support and intervention services. As the Children’s Team Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of effective social work practice, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and policies. Your key responsibilities will include:
Leading and managing a team of social workers, providing supervision and support to enhance their professional development. Ensuring the timely and effective assessment and intervention for children and families in need. Collaborating with multi-agency partners to ensure a holistic approach to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. Monitoring and evaluating team performance, implementing improvement strategies where necessary. Contributing to the development of service policies and procedures to enhance service delivery.To be considered for this role, candidates must possess a relevant social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent) and be registered with Social Work England. Essential skills and qualifications include:
Proven experience in children’s social work, with a strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection. Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team. Strong analytical and decision-making abilities, with a focus on outcomes for children and families.
