Are you a passionate and dedicated social worker looking to make a difference in the lives of children and families? North Somerset is seeking a qualified Children’s Team Manager to join our Safeguarding/Family Support Team. In this pivotal role, you will lead a dynamic team of social workers and support staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to children and families in need. Your expertise will be crucial in safeguarding vulnerable children and promoting their welfare, while also supporting families to achieve positive outcomes.

As a Children’s Team Manager, you will be responsible for:

Leading and supervising a team of social workers, providing guidance and support to ensure effective practice. Overseeing assessments and interventions to safeguard children and promote their well-being. Collaborating with partner agencies and stakeholders to deliver integrated services. Managing caseloads and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and best practices. Contributing to the development and implementation of service improvements and initiatives.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:

A recognized social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Significant experience in children's social work, particularly in safeguarding and family support. Strong leadership and management skills, with a proven ability to motivate and develop a team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to partnership working.
