In this pivotal role, you will work collaboratively with families to ensure the safety and well-being of children while promoting positive change within the family unit. Your expertise will be invaluable in assessing complex situations, developing tailored intervention plans, and supporting families through challenging circumstances.
Key responsibilities include:
Conducting thorough assessments of families to identify risks and strengths, ensuring that children's needs are prioritized. Developing and implementing effective safeguarding plans in collaboration with families and other professionals. Providing consultation and guidance to social work staff, fostering best practices in family safeguarding. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation in compliance with local and national standards. Engaging with external agencies and community resources to enhance support services for families.To be considered for this role, you must possess:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England (SWE). A minimum of 3 years of post-qualifying experience in child protection and family work. Strong analytical and assessment skills, with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
