Achieving for Children is seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Social Worker to join our Safeguarding Team in Windsor and Maidenhead. This pivotal role involves working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure the safety and well-being of vulnerable children and families. You will be responsible for assessing complex needs, developing and implementing care plans, and providing ongoing support to families in crisis.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting thorough assessments of children and families to identify risks and needs. Developing and implementing child protection plans in accordance with statutory requirements. Providing expert advice and guidance to less experienced social workers and team members. Collaborating with external agencies, schools, and health professionals to promote positive outcomes for children. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records, ensuring compliance with local policies and procedures. Participating in court proceedings and presenting evidence as required.To be successful in this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. A minimum of three years’ post-qualification experience in a safeguarding or children’s social work setting. Strong understanding of child protection legislation and safeguarding policies. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
