Are you a passionate and dedicated Social Worker looking to make a significant impact in the lives of looked after children? Hull City Council is seeking an experienced Social Worker to join our Looked After Children (LAC) Team. This role is an opportunity to support vulnerable children and young people, ensuring their safety, well-being, and development within a supportive environment.
As a Social Worker in the LAC Team, you will be responsible for a variety of key duties, including:
Assessing the needs of looked after children and developing tailored care plans. Building positive relationships with children, families, and other professionals to promote the best outcomes. Conducting regular reviews and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements. Providing support and guidance to foster carers and adoptive families. Facilitating access to resources and services that enhance the lives of looked after children.To be considered for this role, you must possess essential qualifications and skills, including:
A recognized Social Work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Experience working with children and families, particularly in a looked after children context. Strong assessment, communication, and interpersonal skills.
