As a Qualified Social Worker in the Kinship Assessment Team, your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments of prospective kinship carers, ensuring they meet the required standards for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. Working collaboratively with families, children, and other professionals to develop support plans that address the unique needs of each child. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and local policies. Participating in multi-agency meetings to share insights and contribute to effective planning and decision-making. Providing ongoing support and guidance to kinship families, helping them navigate challenges and access necessary resources.To be successful in this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Current registration with Social Work England. Demonstrable experience in child protection and assessment within a statutory social work setting. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse families.
