We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Practitioner in Help & Protection to join our dynamic team in Coventry. This role is pivotal in ensuring the safety and well-being of vulnerable children and families within our community. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in social work, with a proven track record of managing complex cases and leading interventions that make a real difference in people’s lives.
As a Senior Practitioner, you will be responsible for:
Conducting comprehensive assessments and developing effective intervention plans. Providing supervision and support to social workers and other team members. Collaborating with multi-agency partners to ensure holistic support for families. Maintaining accurate case records and documentation in line with local authority standards. Participating in court proceedings and representing the local authority when necessary.The successful candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., DipSW, BA Hons Social Work, or equivalent). Registered with Social Work England. A minimum of 3 years' post-qualification experience in child protection or related fields. Strong assessment, analytical, and decision-making skills.
