Devon County Council is seeking an Advanced Social Worker for our Front Door/Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) team. This is an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of safeguarding and child protection, working collaboratively with various agencies to ensure the best outcomes for vulnerable children and families.
As an Advanced Social Worker in the Front Door/MASH, you will be responsible for:
Conducting risk assessments and evaluations to determine the level of need and appropriate interventions for children and families. Collaborating with partner agencies to gather information and develop comprehensive safeguarding plans. Providing expert advice and support to colleagues and stakeholders, ensuring adherence to best practices and legal frameworks. Managing complex cases and leading multi-agency meetings to drive effective outcomes. Mentoring and supervising less experienced social workers and students, fostering a culture of continuous learning.To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent). Registered with Social Work England. Extensive experience in child protection and safeguarding. Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with the ability to manage complex situations effectively.
