Join our dedicated team in Devon as a Qualified Social Worker (QSW) specializing in Looked After Children (LAC) and Children in Care (CIC). As a QSW in LAC/CIC, your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting assessments and developing tailored care plans for children and young people. Building trusting relationships with children, families, and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes. Providing advocacy and support to children in care, ensuring their voices are heard. Monitoring and reviewing care plans to track progress and make necessary adjustments. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated services and support.To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Current registration with Social Work England. Experience working with children in care or within child protection settings. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children and families. Sound knowledge of relevant legislation and best practices in social work.Additional requirements include a valid driving license and access to a vehicle for travel purposes.
