Are you a passionate and dedicated social worker looking to make a difference in the lives of disabled children and their families? The Disabled Children Service in Northallerton, North Yorkshire, is seeking a qualified social worker to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will provide essential support and guidance to families, ensuring that children with disabilities receive the care and resources they need to thrive.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting assessments of children and families to identify needs and develop tailored support plans. Working collaboratively with families, educators, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders to coordinate services. Providing direct support to children and families, including counseling and advocacy. Monitoring and reviewing the progress of children and families, adjusting support plans as necessary. Maintaining accurate records and documentation in compliance with legal and organizational standards.To be successful in this role, you will need to meet the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Experience working with disabled children and their families. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust.
