Dudley Council is seeking a Qualified Social Worker to join our dynamic Child in Care Team. As a member of our Child in Care Team, your key responsibilities will include:

Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify the needs of children in care and their families. Developing and implementing effective care plans in collaboration with children, families, and other professionals. Providing ongoing support and guidance to children and foster families, ensuring their emotional and physical well-being. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records in accordance with local and national standards. Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to the development of safeguarding strategies.

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Proven experience working with children in care and knowledge of relevant legislation and best practices. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a complex caseload effectively.
