We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Qualified Social Worker (QSW) to join our Child in Care Team in Harlow, Essex. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional to make a meaningful impact on the lives of vulnerable children and young people. In this role, you will work collaboratively with families, colleagues, and external agencies to ensure the best outcomes for children in care.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and their families to identify needs and risks. Developing and implementing effective care plans tailored to the individual needs of children. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records, ensuring compliance with local and national standards. Providing ongoing support and guidance to children in care and their families. Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to child protection conferences. Advocating for children’s rights and ensuring their voices are heard in decision-making processes.To be considered for this role, you must hold a recognized social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent) and be registered with Social Work England. You should have a strong understanding of child protection legislation and experience working with children in care. Essential skills include:
