We are seeking an experienced Social Worker to join our Children in Care Team in North Somerset. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified professional who is passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of children and young people. In this role, you will work collaboratively with families, local authorities, and other agencies to ensure the best outcomes for children in care. Your expertise will be crucial in assessing needs, planning interventions, and supporting children and their families through challenging times.
Key responsibilities include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks. Developing, implementing, and reviewing care plans in partnership with children, families, and multi-disciplinary teams. Providing direct support and guidance to children in care and their foster families. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Participating in court proceedings and presenting evidence as required.To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:
A relevant social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England (or equivalent regulatory body). Significant experience working with children and families, particularly within a Children in Care context. Strong assessment, analytical, and communication skills.
