We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Families First Social Worker to join our dynamic team in FerryHill, Durham. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting families facing various challenges, ensuring their well-being and promoting positive outcomes for children and parents alike. You will engage with families to assess their needs, provide tailored support, and facilitate access to necessary services.
Key responsibilities include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments of family needs and strengths. Developing and implementing individualized support plans in collaboration with families. Providing guidance and support to families in crisis, including crisis intervention and resolution. Collaborating with schools, healthcare providers, and community organizations to ensure holistic support. Maintaining accurate records and documentation in accordance with local policies and procedures.To be successful in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work). Current registration with the relevant social work regulatory body. Proven experience in child protection and family support services. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with families.
