Central Bedfordshire is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Help Social Worker to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in supporting families in need, ensuring their well-being and promoting positive outcomes for children and young people. As a Family Help Social Worker, you will work collaboratively with families, local agencies, and community resources to provide tailored support and interventions that empower families to thrive.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting assessments of family needs and developing tailored support plans. Providing direct support and intervention to families, focusing on improving family dynamics and child welfare. Collaborating with multi-agency teams to coordinate services and ensure a holistic approach to family support. Monitoring and reviewing cases to track progress and adjust interventions as necessary. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation in compliance with relevant policies and procedures.To be considered for this position, candidates must possess the following qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work). Registration with Social Work England. Experience working with families in a social work context, preferably within child protection or family support services. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with families.
