Join our dedicated team in Barking & Dagenham as a Senior Social Worker specializing in Family Support and Safeguarding. We are looking for a passionate and skilled individual to make a meaningful impact in the lives of families and children within our community. In this role, you will work collaboratively with families, local agencies, and other professionals to ensure the safety and well-being of children, while promoting positive family dynamics.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify the needs of children and families. Developing and implementing tailored support plans that address safeguarding concerns. Providing ongoing support and guidance to families, ensuring they have access to necessary resources. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including health, education, and law enforcement, to safeguard vulnerable children. Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of casework, adhering to local policies and procedures. Participating in training and development opportunities to enhance professional skills and knowledge.To be considered for this position, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:
A recognized Social Work qualification (Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registered with Social Work England. Significant experience in child protection and safeguarding within a social work context. Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make informed decisions under pressure.
