Are you a passionate and dedicated social worker looking to make a profound impact in the lives of children and families? Middlesbrough is seeking a Fostering Advanced Practitioner to join our dynamic team in the Qualified Social Work field. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing and enhancing the fostering services within our community, ensuring that children in care receive the best possible support and guidance.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Providing expert advice and support to foster carers, ensuring they are equipped to meet the needs of children in their care. Conducting assessments and reviews of foster placements, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans tailored to individual children. Leading training sessions and workshops for foster carers to enhance their skills and knowledge. Mentoring and supervising junior social workers, fostering a culture of continuous professional development.

To be considered for this position, you must possess a relevant social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work) and hold a valid Social Work England registration. Additionally, you should have:

A minimum of 3 years’ experience in fostering or child protection. Strong knowledge of legislation and best practices in social work. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children, families, and colleagues. Proven leadership abilities and experience in mentoring less experienced staff.
