As a Fostering Independent Reviewing Officer, your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting independent reviews of foster care placements to assess the effectiveness and appropriateness of care arrangements. Collaborating with social workers, foster carers, and other professionals to gather information and insights for comprehensive assessments. Providing clear reports and recommendations to ensure that the best interests of the children are at the forefront of all decisions. Facilitating meetings and consultations with children and families to ensure their voices are heard and valued. Monitoring compliance with fostering regulations and standards, and contributing to service improvement initiatives.To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A relevant social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent). Current registration with Social Work England. Significant experience in social work, particularly within fostering or children’s services. Strong understanding of fostering legislation, policies, and best practices.
