We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Fostering Practice Manager to join our dynamic team in Northamptonshire. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of children and families within our community. The position requires a commitment of one day in the office per week, allowing flexibility while ensuring effective management and oversight of our fostering services.
As a Fostering Practice Manager, you will be responsible for:
Leading and managing a team of social workers and support staff to ensure high-quality fostering services. Overseeing the recruitment, assessment, and training of foster carers to meet the diverse needs of children. Developing and implementing policies and procedures that comply with regulatory standards and best practices. Monitoring and evaluating the performance of the fostering service, ensuring continuous improvement. Building strong relationships with local authorities, stakeholders, and other agencies to promote collaboration and support.The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Significant experience in fostering or children's services, with a proven track record in management. Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
