We are seeking a dedicated and experienced professional to join our team as a Glos - Child Protection Chair in the Qualified Social Work field. This pivotal role involves leading child protection conferences and ensuring the safety, welfare, and well-being of children in our community. The successful candidate will work closely with families, social workers, and multi-agency partners to facilitate effective decision-making processes that prioritize the best interests of children.
Key responsibilities include:
Chairing child protection conferences and meetings to assess risks and develop action plans. Collaborating with social workers, law enforcement, and other stakeholders to gather information and insights. Ensuring compliance with local and national child protection policies and procedures. Providing guidance and support to families throughout the child protection process. Monitoring and reviewing child protection cases to ensure that plans are effective and outcomes are achieved.To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent). Significant experience in child protection and safeguarding, including chairing meetings. Strong understanding of child development and relevant legislation. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
