Join our dedicated Children in Care team as a Qualified Social Worker (QSW) in Gloucestershire! We are seeking a passionate and committed individual to support vulnerable children and their families, ensuring their safety, well-being, and development. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children in care, working collaboratively with other professionals and stakeholders to provide the best outcomes for our young people.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting assessments and developing care plans tailored to the individual needs of children and their families. Working closely with children in care to build trusting relationships and ensure their voices are heard. Collaborating with schools, health services, and other agencies to promote positive outcomes for children. Managing a caseload effectively, ensuring timely interventions and support are provided. Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to the development of safeguarding policies and procedures.To be considered for this role, you must hold a recognized Social Work qualification (e.g., degree in Social Work) and be registered with Social Work England. Essential skills include:
Strong understanding of child development and safeguarding practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children and families from diverse backgrounds. Proficiency in assessment and report writing, with a keen attention to detail.
