Join our dedicated team in Hertfordshire as a Qualified Social Worker (QSW) within the Joint Child Protection Investigation Team. In this pivotal role, you will work collaboratively with various agencies to safeguard children and young people at risk. Your expertise will be essential in conducting assessments, developing intervention plans, and ensuring the welfare of vulnerable children within our community.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Conducting thorough investigations into child protection concerns, ensuring compliance with legislation and best practices. Collaborating with police, health services, and educational institutions to gather information and develop comprehensive case plans. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records, preparing reports, and presenting findings at case conferences and court hearings. Providing support and guidance to families, helping them navigate services and access the necessary resources. Participating in training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in child protection.

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work). Registration with Social Work England. At least two years of post-qualifying experience in child protection or related fields. Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make sound judgments in complex situations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to working collaboratively with families and professionals.
