Join our dedicated team in Staffordshire as an Independent Reviewing Officer / Child Protection Chair in the Qualified Social Work field. This critical role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of children and families, ensuring their voices are heard and their needs are met. You will be responsible for chairing child protection conferences, reviewing care plans, and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, all while promoting best practices in safeguarding.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Chairing child protection conferences and reviews, ensuring that all parties are engaged and contributing. Assessing and evaluating the effectiveness of care plans and making recommendations for improvements. Collaborating with social workers, families, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to child welfare. Maintaining accurate records and documentation in accordance with local and national standards. Providing training and support to staff on child protection procedures and best practices.To excel in this role, you will need the following essential qualifications and skills:
A relevant social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, MA in Social Work). Registration with Social Work England. Significant experience in child protection and safeguarding, with a strong understanding of legislation and policy. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children and families.
