Join our dedicated team in Wrexham as an Independent Safeguarding & Reviewing Officer, where your expertise will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of vulnerable individuals within our community. In this challenging and rewarding position, you will be responsible for conducting thorough safeguarding reviews, assessments, and investigations, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and best practice guidelines.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting independent reviews of safeguarding cases, ensuring that the voices of children and vulnerable adults are heard. Collaborating with multi-agency partners to develop and implement effective safeguarding plans. Providing expert advice and support to social work teams and other stakeholders. Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of safeguarding practices and making recommendations for improvement. Preparing detailed reports and presenting findings to relevant committees and panels.The ideal candidate will possess a relevant social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent) and have substantial experience in safeguarding and reviewing processes. Essential skills include:
Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in report writing and documentation. A thorough understanding of safeguarding legislation and policies.
