We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Social Worker to join our team in Islington, specifically focusing on providing services related to Children in Need (CIN) and completing Child and Family Assessments. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of vulnerable children and families in the community.
Key responsibilities and duties:
Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to determine their needs and risks Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams and external agencies Providing direct support and intervention to children and families, ensuring their safety and well-being Participating in case conferences, court proceedings, and reviews to advocate for the best interests of the children Mentoring and supporting junior staff members, sharing expertise and best practicesEssential qualifications and skills:
Qualified Social Worker with a recognized Social Work qualification Registered with Social Work England and up-to-date with CPD requirements Demonstrated experience in completing Child and Family Assessments and working with Children in Need Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures within child protection and safeguarding Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families from diverse backgroundsAdditional requirements or benefits:
