Join our dedicated Children's Safeguarding Team in Tameside as a Qualified Social Worker. In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of children and young people within our community. Your expertise will contribute to safeguarding practices, assessments, and interventions that promote positive outcomes for vulnerable families. We are looking for passionate individuals who are committed to making a difference in the lives of children and their families.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks. Developing and implementing tailored care plans in collaboration with families and other professionals. Managing a caseload effectively while adhering to statutory deadlines and local policies. Providing support and guidance to children and families, ensuring their voices are heard. Working closely with partner agencies to coordinate services and interventions. Participating in child protection conferences and court proceedings as required.

To be considered for this position, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Proven experience in child protection and safeguarding. Strong assessment and analytical skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The ability to work collaboratively in a multi-agency environment.
