Bath and North East Somerset Council is seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Children's Social Work - Children in Care (CIC) Team. This rewarding role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of children and families within our community. As a key member of our team, you will work collaboratively to ensure the safety, wellbeing, and development of children in care, advocating for their best interests at all times.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments of children's needs and circumstances. Developing and implementing care plans in partnership with children, families, and other professionals. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in compliance with statutory requirements. Providing ongoing support and guidance to foster carers and adoptive families. Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to decision-making processes.To be considered for this position, you must possess:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work). Registration with Social Work England. Experience in children's social work, particularly with children in care. Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make sound judgments.
