We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Children’s Head of Service to join our team in Wirral on an interim basis. This pivotal role will oversee the strategic direction and operational management of children's services, ensuring the delivery of high-quality support to children and families in our community. You will work collaboratively with local authorities, partner agencies, and stakeholders to enhance service delivery and outcomes for children.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading and managing the operational delivery of children's services, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations and best practices. Developing and implementing strategic plans to improve service quality and outcomes for children and families. Providing leadership and support to staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development. Engaging with stakeholders, including children, families, and community organizations, to gather feedback and inform service development. Monitoring performance metrics and ensuring effective resource allocation to meet service demands.The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A relevant degree in social work, child development, or a related field. Significant experience in children's services management, with a strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection issues. Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
