We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Qualified Social Worker to join our CP/CIN Team in Birmingham. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality social work services to children and families in need of support and protection.
Key responsibilities and duties include:
Undertaking assessments and developing care plans for children at risk of harm or in need of support Conducting child protection investigations and assessments of children in need Working collaboratively with partner agencies to safeguard children and promote their welfare Participating in case conferences, court proceedings, and multi-agency meetings Providing direct support and intervention to children and families to address safeguarding concernsThe ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
Qualified Social Worker with a valid HCPC registration Experience working within a CP/CIN team and a strong understanding of relevant legislation and policies Excellent assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make sound decisions in complex situations Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, demonstrating resilience and professionalism in challenging situationsIn addition to the essential qualifications and skills, candidates with experience in court work and child protection conferences will be highly desirable. We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Qualified Social Worker to join our Birmingham - TM - UASC Team. As a vital member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality support and services to Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children (UASC) in the Birmingham area.
Key responsibilities and duties include:
Conducting assessments and developing care plans for UASC in line with statutory requirements Providing direct support and interventions to meet the complex needs of UASC Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the well-being and safety of UASC Participating in multi-agency meetings and reviews to advocate for the best interests of UASC Keeping accurate and up-to-date records of all interactions and interventionsThe ideal candidate for this role will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
Qualified Social Worker with a recognized social work qualification Registered with Social Work England Demonstrated experience working with UASC or vulnerable children and young people Strong understanding of relevant legislation and policies related to UASC Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skillsIn addition to the essential qualifications and skills, candidates with experience in trauma-informed practice and cultural competency will be highly regarded.
