Are you a passionate and dedicated social worker looking to make a real difference in the lives of children and families? Blackpool Council is seeking a Qualified Social Worker (QSW) to join our Safeguarding Team (BFS). In this pivotal role, you will work collaboratively with colleagues and partner agencies to ensure the safety and well-being of vulnerable children and young people in our community.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Conducting assessments and developing care plans that prioritize the safety and welfare of children. Working closely with families to provide support and guidance, ensuring their needs are met. Collaborating with multi-agency teams to safeguard children and promote their best interests. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in accordance with legislation and local policies. Participating in court proceedings and presenting evidence as required.

To be successful in this role, you will need the following essential qualifications and skills:

A recognized social work qualification (Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Experience in safeguarding and child protection work. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children and families. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a caseload effectively.
