We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced LAC/CIC Social Worker to join our team in Bolton. This position offers a competitive rate of £37 per hour in the Qualified Social Work field.
Key responsibilities and duties:
Provide high-quality support and intervention to Looked After Children (LAC) and Children in Care (CIC) to ensure their well-being and safety. Conduct assessments, develop care plans, and coordinate services to meet the individual needs of each child. Work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams, including healthcare professionals, schools, and other agencies, to provide holistic support. Advocate for the rights and best interests of LAC/CIC within the legal framework and safeguarding guidelines.Essential qualifications and skills:
Qualified Social Worker with a relevant degree and HCPC registration. Demonstrated experience working with Looked After Children and Children in Care, preferably in a similar role. Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to child protection and safeguarding. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality support and intervention for children and young people in care, ensuring their safety, well-being, and development.

Undertaking comprehensive assessments of children and their families to identify needs and risks Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with the child, their family, and relevant stakeholders Providing direct support and intervention to children and young people in care, including advocating for their rights and best interests Monitoring and reviewing the progress of children in care, making necessary adjustments to support plans as required Working collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure holistic and coordinated support for children and familiesEssential qualifications and skills:
